animals, they are not without their health problems. Like most large breeds, the
problems that exist in this breed are Hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, OCD,
Epilepsy, distichia, entropion, urinary incontinence and bloat, just to name a few.

JACK RUSSELL TERRIERS - These are tough little dogs with relatively good health, IF purchased from a reputable breeder. Their recent surge in popularity over the past 5 years has resulted in many improper breedings of which the effect on their health
over long term is yet to be determined. However, if purchased from a responsible breeder with breed preservation in mind, the health problems in this breed most often seen are cataracts, lens luxation, and patellar luxation.
CARDIGAN WELSH CORGI - Friendly and loyal, the condition of greatest concern
in the health of this breed is PRA (progressive Retinal Atrophy) . This condition can
result in eventual blindness. There is an excellent article on PRA at the CWCCA for more information about this condition and the testing available to prevent purchasing a dog
with the condition or one that could be a potential carrier.
